The Day at Work

Fuih… x) Finally 3 days have already passed.. haha. it’s not 3 months or 3 years or 30 years of working life. Let me share my days at the beginning of my work:

1st day:

I reached early, at 8.15 am, dressed neat and ready to shake hands of managers and directors. But, things didn’t work as i wished. I tried to call my boss few times, no answer. Sitting at the nice comfy chair for about 1.30 hours, nobody approached me, biting my nails, and at last, the guy who interviewed me last time approached me and i was brought to my colleague and she brought me around the office and introducing the staffs around. Her name is Nurain or An..  She is young and playful yet experienced IT girl! I was put in the discussion cubicle, big enough for one person.. I met few people on the first day and one indo guy by the named of Tjia/yumin… he is a nice guy, too! An guide me a few hours on the company system.

2nd Day:

My manager still not yet in, i was in the table, trying to access the computer given to me yesterday, i really had no clue how to access the internet or log in into the account. Thanks to Tjia again, he taught me how to log in to computer and email and the company intranet! *grin* nothing much to do, i leave at 6 sharp. haha

3rd Day:

It’s today! haha.. starting my day like a pro employee, checking email and reading notes, i then had some learning on C# and StarLight system. I really had no clue on .Net Framework or their affiliates but also no clue why they company hired me. But, i thank God for the good company with good people inside *Don’t move me into 6th Floor*. I was reading on how to program in C# and also An devoted half day of her time to teach me and guide me slowly on the system. I felt like Moron who didn’t know anything because i forgotten all my school’s material which cost me more than 50k ringgit and 4 years sitting on the university. It was really tiring and scaring for me to understand the steps and things to remember when programming in the framework. I was so scared today that even i chose to leave office late so that i have more time to explore their system and check out for the company benefits. Few benefits such as Apple Store discount staff! Im Apple Freak!

Oh ya, not forget to mention, yesterday, Singtel gave us apples to eat during lunch time. I thought what a supportive company to maintain good health under uncompromising job loads… haha.. at the end, it was ipod touch 3G launch which will be in next week time… Apple fruit = Apple Ipod! haha

Anyway, the environment is good and the air cond is not that cold and there are nice and energetic people inside to keep me alive!
